Working...
I grew up in Springfield Illinois. I graduated with my Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Lincoln Land Community College. After leaving LLCC, I decided i wanted out of education so I got my B.A. in Sociology from Illinois College in Jacksonville. Currently I am in the process of going back for a Master Degree in Middle School Science from the University of Florida. Prior to teaching, I was a Paraprofessional for 7 years around the building. I have been a Para in all grade levels here on South Campus. Although I live in Chatham, I really feel connected to this community. My WiFee Serena grew up in this area and even attended school in this building when it was Girard. Her family still lives in the area so it really has been great to have ties to this community not only with working in the school building, but having family in the district. In past years I have assisted with many school acitivies including school dances, fundraisers and even found my love for track while Assistant Coaching and then eventually Head Coaching the track team here at the middle school level. I feel like i have found my calling here at North Mac and am so happy to call this place my 2nd home! |
