Wonder Read Aloud & Novel Unit-(This is an OPTIONAL activity. See Wonder Novel Unit tab on my webpage for pacing for this unit.) Students may choose to listen to me or another reader read aloud the Wonder novel by R.J. Palacio on YouTube. (Links will be provided on Wonder Novel Unit page.) Students do not HAVE to have the book to participate in this, but there are several places you might be able to find the digital copy online. Students will be completing assignments that go along with the novel that will be e-mailed through their school email.
Raz-Kids - A reading comprehension program; involves students reading little books and answering comprehension questions
Writing/Art Activities--See Brainpop videos if you choose to write a letter using correct friendly letter writing format.
*Put a pink or red heart in your window to show support for healthcare workers that are on the front lines helping us stay healthy and safe!
*Write a thank you note to an essential worker to thank them for continuing to work to make sure we have the things and services we need. Safely deliver your note following social distance rules. (Clip the note to your mailbox for the postal worker, tape a note to your trash can for the garbage man, etc.)
*Draw a colorful picture or write a note to a person in a healthcare facility that cannot have visitors right now. Here are the names of facilities whose residents would greatly appreciate a note or picture to brighten their day!

NEW!!--Forces of Nature--read about tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, and volcanoes. Then do simulations to create your own tornado, hurricane, earthquake, and volcanic eruption! You may have to update your flashplayer or unblock it to do the simulations.

Virtual Yoga--This is a class being offered Thursday, April 2nd from 1-1:30p online through the 4H website. You have to register, but there is no fee. The class will be conducted using the video conferencing platform, Zoom.
Active Champs--Champions Gym is providing a free 20 minute streamed video workout for kids 5 days a week starting Monday, March 30th.
