Hello! My name is Kara Grafton. I am so excited to be your student's music teacher this year. I am entering my fourth year teaching and my second year here at North Mac. I have a Bachelor's of Music Education from McKendree University and am working on obtaining my Master's in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University.

Favorite sports team: St. Louis Cardinals

Favorite animal: Ducks

Hobbies: Baking (mainly bread) and crafting

Favorite road trip snack: Diet Coke and Sour Skittles

Main instrument: Flute

Years Performing: 20 years (10 years dance, 5 years musical theater, 13 years in band, 8 years in choir, and more!)

Favorite thing about teaching: I love getting to know the students year after year in music class. Whether or not they stay in music in middle school, we still get multiple years together to grow, learn, and make memories.
